This 2-hour workshop is designed specifically for students involved with Christian Youth Theatre (CYT) Nashville. Led by professional improvisers and co-founders of Oddity Improv,
Chris Guerra and Kelsey Cooke-Guerra, the workshop will use clean, character-driven improv exercises to strengthen skills that translate directly to the audition room, rehearsal process, and performance stage. This class is ideal for teens looking to deepen their understanding of character work, make bolder choices, and bring more authenticity and energy to every role.
This workshop reinforces the same goals CYT teaches—courage, creativity, and character—while offering students an exciting and playful way to take ownership of their choices on stage. By equipping young performers with improvisational tools, we empower them to audition with confidence and bring nuance and originality to every role.
Chris Guerra and Kelsey Cooke-Guerra are the Co-Founders of Oddity Improv, a Franklin-based comedy company specializing in clean, character-driven improvisation. Together, they bring years of experience in professional theatre, film, television and live comedy. As passionate educators and performers, Chris and Kelsey have worked with hundreds of students and believe in the power of improv to unlock creativity, build community, and strengthen storytelling.
