Description

Have you have felt like you were locked into "what you could do" vocally? Like, "I'll always ONLY be a belter, or I'll always ONLY have to play a sidekick." It's so not true! Together, we'll discover parts and bits of our voice that we may not have accessed before. We'll explore vocal roles may never have dreamed of attempting and musical styles that will push us outside our normal "go-to's". Through exploring unique vocal techniques and some character vocal work, we'll unlock that "other voice" you may not even know you have!

Mark Allen

Mark has been a part of theatre virtually his whole life: as a studio singer, a professional actor in the Nashville area, an award-winning director and a Broadway musical theatre writer. Graduating from NYU-Tisch School Of The Arts with an M.F.A. in Musical Theatre Writing, Mark has been on both sides of the audition table as an "audition-ee" and "audition-er" on and off Broadway in NYC for over 20 years. Raised in Nashville and thankfully back home again, Mark is honored to join CYT to share his love of theatre, music and Jesus above all!
