Description

Do you have a passion for dance and want to explore a new way of creating stories? This class is for you! We’ll start with basic dance techniques of jazz and ballet, then move into the basics of choreography where you’ll get to discover your own style. Our class will be a mix of instruction and experimentation; the best way to learn your own choreography style is through trying and playing, so we will create a fun and encouraging environment to do so! Come discover your own choreographic storytelling skills through play!

Megan Hutchinson

Discovering theatre in her hometown's community theatre at the age of 7, Megan has been passionate about pursuing the performing arts ever since. Performing and working in all areas of theatre throughout high school, she then went on to earn her Technical Certificate and Associate's Degree in Commercial Entertainment from Columbia State Community College. After graduating, Megan has worked professionally and in community theatre around the Nashville area. Megan has been teaching with CYT since 2022, and loves being a part of this community and teaching what she is passionate about to the next generation (and learn more herself!).
