Christian Youth Theater (CYT) Nashville is growing, and with growth comes new challenges. This year, with the addition of a second location, our operating costs have increased—but our commitment to delivering excellence in all areas of theater remains stronger than ever. This #GivingTuesday, we are raising $10,000 to offset these increased costs, ensuring that we can continue to deliver high-quality experiences for our students while pursuing our goals of achieving excellence in every production.
 
Did you know…

• Mics: A new headset costs $200 per each mic we use in productions. 
• Royalties: Each show’s performance rights cost an average of $5,000.
• Class and Rehearsal Space: Renting spaces for classes and rehearsals costs up to $6,000 per month.
• Lighting Designer: It costs around $6,500 per year to bring a new lightning designer onto our team. 
• Performance Venues: Our venues for shows average $8,000 per production.
• Barn Renovations: Adding electricity to make the barn more functional for our volunteers costs around $15,000. 
• Teacher and Artistic Team Payroll: Each season, payroll for our talented teachers and artistic team exceeds $20,000.
